Today I will talk to you about how important the skincare routine is for me because the skin is the most exposed of our organs and many of us tend to neglect it, making it vulnerable to sun damage, early signs of aging and skin diseases.
I make sure I always remove my makeup before bed and I DO RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE! Your skin needs some time to breathe and renew itself, which it does when you sleep. If you leave makeup on, it can also lead to clogged pores and breakouts.
To remove makeup I use a TOLERIANE DERMO-CLEANSER from La Roche-Posay (a wipe-off milk to gently cleanse sensitive, intolerant or even allergy-prone skin). After that I prefer to wash and cleanse my face with EFFACLAR EFFACLAR PURIFYING CLEANSING GEL as my skin is blemish-prone. I’m hopeful I will only need to be using this product temporarily.
The next important step is moisturizing my skin as I don’t drink enough liquids (I know it’s ONE BIG MISTAKE). I use a hydrating moisturizer twice a day (morning and night) to keep my skin supple. The one that I use at the moment, due to my blemish-prone skin, is EFFACLAR DUO [+] SPF 30 (it’s working very well so far as I could see the results in less than 10 days).
I scrub my face once a week as the exfoliation encourages the cell regeneration process, removes dull surface cells and removes debris from follicles to keep skin clear. It can also break up areas of discoloration for brighter skin. One of the benefits we love most though is how it helps clear the skin to allow other products to absorb more easily. I use a homemade scrub which I find amazing and it’s very simple to make it: polenta, coffee, and honey – just mix them and use it.
Once a week I try to apply a mask to nourish skin beyond the uppermost layers of the skin and to hydrate it. My cosmetician recommended I use a soothing and rehydrating mask, so decided to go with HYDRAPHASE INTENSE MASQUE.
This is my skin routine and I would love to know what yours is and what products you are using.
